Ci Phillips is a multidisciplinary researcher, writer, and creative director whose work bridges fashion, art, and urban studies to produce transformative programming and cultural productions.

In 2022, Ci earned her Master of Arts in Fashion Studies from the Parsons School of Design. Her graduate research is an auto-ethnographic story of black identity politics in Chicago public housing project. She also chronicles the contemporary artistic development of Chicago’s Black creative professionals through interviews, archives, and media.

the end goal of all of her work is individual and community agency nourished through a spiritual commitment called Black Creative Piety, which allows for fellowshipping and designing in both love and critical dialogue amongst local and international black people in their home-places. 

More than anything, ci loves and advocates for black youth from and in urban ghettos and making sure they have access to various creative industries.
